Detectives with the department’s Special Victim Unit (SVU) found the missing teenager on June 16 after following up on information that she might be living in a residence in the 2000 block of Treyburn Lane, according to the news release.
Officers from the Patrol Division and SVU arrived at the home around 4:20 p.m. and found the missing girl, who authorities have been searching for since her disappearance from Pennsylvania last year.
Investigators determined that Joseph Rossomando, 32, who lives at the Treyburn Lane address, was in possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the police department. Rossomando was taken into custody at the scene.
During the investigation, detectives interviewed the victim and executed a search warrant at the home, seizing several electronic devices as evidence, according to the department’s statement.

A police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NTD News.
Missing Boy
In a separate case, detectives are searching for Chance Jenkins, a 15-year-old boy who has been missing for almost a week. Jenkins was last seen on June 11 in the area of E. Green Drive and Brentwood Street, according to a June 17 post on the department’s Facebook page.Police are urging anyone with information about Jenkins’s whereabouts to contact the High Point Police Department or submit an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers of High Point.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, which marks the city’s second criminal homicide of 2025.
