In Plantation, Florida’s Broward County, at the West Regional Library, a man discovers a mother duck with just one young duckling. When he hears ducklings chirping from the storm drain, he stops to investigate. The rest of the ducklings have fallen through the drain grate. The man manages to rescue two of the ducklings using a metal strainer suspended with string to reach into the drain and lift them out. The remaining ducklings move further down the drain system through a pipe to another drain. Then a man wearing a volunteer shirt opens the storm drain that houses the remaining ducklings by removing the cover. He uses a large net to scoop up the remaining ducklings.
