Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) questioned Harvard University President Claudine Gay at a House Education Committee hearing in Washington on Dec. 5 on the topic of “Holding Campus Leaders Accountable And Confronting Anti-Semitism.”

Ms. Stefanik claimed the institution had allowed several students to call publicly, on Harvard’s campus, for the genocide of Jewish people and the eradication of Israel, while limiting the free speech of other students and faculty members. Ms. Stefanik also called for Ms. Gay’s resignation over these matters.

“Harvard ranks the lowest when it comes to protecting Jewish students. This is why I’ve called for your resignation,” said Ms. Stefanik.
