Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage in Łódź, Poland, on Jan. 17 and Jan. 18. Audience members were taken on a journey through ancient China and were taken in by the beauty of the performance.

“I think it is a very beautiful performance. I am enchanted by the depth of the music, the depth of the dance, and I am happy to have the opportunity to experience this traditional Chinese culture,” said Rafał Grycner, an engineer.

“I liked it very much. First of all, the synchronization of movements in the dance, all these flips and turns. It also has a certain story, that everything had meaning and that God was important in all this, too,” said Justyna Kantorowicz, a singer.

“I often felt very moved. The beauty, colors, and movements are really impressive,” said Ms. Szarafińska, a lawyer.

“It’s amazing, the synchronization, the way they present the whole Chinese culture is beautiful,” said Anna Kopytko, who is a dentist.

“I learned a lot through this performance. Not just the visual impressions, beauty, aesthetics, but knowledge was also shared,” said Anna Bożena Dończyk-Gajos, a multimedia artist.

Shen Yun draws inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of traditional culture and values from before communism. A culture that was believed to be inspired by the Divine. Many audience members said Shen Yun is more than just a performance.

“A very important element was showing that a person is not alone in the world, that it’s important to be guided by such universal values especially ethics, especially love, goodness, and that this will prevail. That was the most important thing for me,” said Agnieszka Głowacka, a university lecturer.

“The show definitely had plenty of messages, especially one of kindness, kindness to the people around us. As if it was conveyed to people not to forget kindness, about the virtues of life,” said Joanna Matwiszyn, an architect. “This is a spiritual performance. It's not just an artistic performance, but it's a spiritual message for people, and it's waking people up in our era.”

“I think the whole dance also spoke about the connection of people and humanity’s journey to the Heavens,” said Klaudia Borkowska, an interior designer. “And I think that through this performance, we could see and briefly connect with that higher power in Heaven.”

“I could feel this celestial quality not only in the music but also in the movement, in the dance, and in the atmosphere the ensemble was able to create throughout the evening,” said Mieczysław Gajos, a professor. “I return home feeling spiritually uplifted. I return home as if being carried on heavenly clouds.”

Shen Yun will perform in Oxford, UK, from Jan. 22nd to Jan. 25.
