Audience members in Füssen, Germany, welcomed Shen Yun Performing Arts with warm applause on March 30 for a sold-out performance. Tickets were sold out nearly a month in advance. Audience members said they felt as if they were being transported to another realm.

Marie-Odile Schramm-Eulig, an award-winning photographer said, “It’s magical. It’s simply another world, a magical world. It invites you to a dream and you’re completely immersed in it, truly enthusiastic, with your whole heart. And what touches me deeply is the energy, the power, the colors, and the joy.”

“Some stories and narratives are like fairy tales. To see some of them, and how they are then translated into a very beautiful stage setting, is very impressive. I find the combination with video technology, the dances, the traditional dances, very impressive,” said Ferdinand Heims, a former senior procurement consultant.

Sergey Jordan, an award-winning technical programmer said, “The synchronization and ideas of colors and variety of colors and movements is what has really impressed me.”

Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of divinely inspired traditional Chinese culture and virtues from before communism, showcasing its beauty through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling. Theatergoers appreciated the values brought to life on stage.

“I hope that we all wake up and move in a peaceful direction and get along with each other rather than continuing like this,” said Kerstin Rohde, a business owner.

“I think that such events are incredibly important for everyone and that’s what brings people together. The different cultures, but also everyone wants peace, joy, vitality, and optimism. And this event brings that across completely. So, it’s really unique,” Ms. Schramm-Eulig said.

“I would say it’s worth going and seeing. You can see new things every year, and this is a very fantastic performance,” said Joachim Franke, a former Air Force pilot.

Shen Yun will be performing in Dortmund, Germany, from April 8 through 12.
