Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Bridges Auditorium—Pomona College in Claremont, California, on March 30. Through heavenly scenes, traditional dance, and music, audience members were taken on a journey through five millennia of Chinese history.

“I love the show. It’s great, it’s really fun, it’s very inspiring. And I like hearing the story telling ahead of the scene, so I have an idea of what I’m watching and what I’m experiencing,” said Stacey Strenger, a business owner.

“I think I’ve never seen a blend of stage and projector before, and just the colors and the dance is absolutely amazing, so elegant and graceful, and the movements are captivating,” said Andrew Akers, a project engineer.

“I was just totally amazed with the absolute precision. And that’s probably the biggest thing for me, it was just the absolute precision,” said Joseph Bodnar, a former detective sergeant.

Since 2006, Shen Yun has toured the world with a mission to revive 5,000 years of divinely-inspired traditional Chinese culture from before communism. And every season, Shen Yun performers bring an all-new program with original dance, music, costumes, and backdrops for audiences to enjoy.

“I love the colors. The costumes are gorgeous, they’re beautiful. I love the way that people move their arms and their bodies and just see this fabric flowing out of their bodies is amazing. It’s beautiful,” Ms. Strenger said.

Mr. Bodnar said, “I enjoyed the music, it was absolutely beautiful. I can’t remember the name of the two-stringed instrument, but I thought that was fascinating.”

“The messages, the singing, the performers, the colors, it’s spectacular. So I think it’s important for people to be willing to ‘hey, come and see’ this and enjoy a moment that I think is very impactful to their lives,” said Hector Perez, a business development specialist.

Shen Yun will be performing at the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University in University Park, Illinois, from April 10 through 13.
