Shen Yun Performing Arts staged the first show at the Paris Congress Centre Theatre on the night of April 16. Until May 11, Shen Yun will perform more than 20 shows in Paris and Lyon. Audiences praised the show’s beauty and values.

Liz Laurent, an architect, said that the values Shen Yun celebrates are “beautiful” and should be promoted worldwide.

“Yes, beautiful values, beautiful values that should be truly international. It’d be great if everyone could connect to Shen Yun, to Shen Yun’s world, that would be great,” she said.

Emmanuel Gauthier, a CEO, said it was a “very fine performance.”

“The sets are magnificent, the costumes are gorgeous and the dancers are stunning,” he said.

Pilette Quentin, a psychiatrist, said: “The show is truly sensational. You really enjoy watching the dancers. It's very dynamic and the music is really exceptional. I really like it.”

Christian Basel, a former deputy bank manager, said: “I live in Vienna, Austria, and came to Paris to see the show. I find the show extraordinary, especially the synchronization of the movements, which for me is unique in the world. The costumes are also very impressive, and the entire show is extraordinary.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture through art and beauty.

“A very beautiful show,” Mr. Gauthier said. “After that, there's a whole history, a whole context that puts an emotion around the dance and a whole framework around China.”

Ms. Laurent said: “I felt emotions, energy, great dynamics.”

Dr. Quentin said, “The male dancers are very athletic and so are the female dancers so it's very nice. We're having a great time. I felt joy. There's a lot of fun and there's a lot of humor too. So we're happy, we're having a good time.”

“It’s top-notch, obviously, but when you train yourself as I imagine the artists do, I’m sure you can’t do better,” Mr. Basel said.

“A finesse, too, a finesse of movements I think,” Ms. Laurent said.

“Yes, a lot of precision in the gestures and a lot of synchronization in the gestures. So I especially find the finesse particularly notable,” Mr. Gauthier agreed.

Audiences praised the spirituality and benevolence in the stories shared by Shen Yun.

“I feel all the energy of those who dance and who share their convictions. Spirituality is important for everyone but not everyone is necessarily connected. So it's good that some people can talk about their experiences so that people can understand and can draw inspiration from them,” Dr. Quentin said.

“I felt benevolence, yes, totally. Benevolence because you can see that the dancers all work together too. There's nice harmony among the dancers too, I think,” Ms. Laurent said.

“I felt benevolence, goodness, generosity, things like that, yes. These are essential values. And I think everyone who sees the show will feel inspired by the values that Shen Yun is trying to convey,” Dr. Quentin said.

“Well, I strongly recommend they come see it because it’s really worth the trip,” Mr. Basel said.
