Singer D4vd has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl whose body was discovered inside his car, the Los Angeles Police Department said on Thursday.
Detectives from the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division took David Burke, 21, into custody and he is being held without bail, according to an LAPD statement posted on X.
The case stems from September 2025, when the decomposed body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez—who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024—was found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to the singer.
Burke, who records under the name D4vd, rose to fame after going viral on TikTok in 2022 with "Romantic Homicide.”
The case is expected to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Monday.
