Texas Authorities Issue Amber Alert for 12-Year-Old San Antonio Girl

Authorities in Texas are asking for public help in locating a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing from her home on Tuesday, April 7.

The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) in Texas issued an Amber Alert for the girl on Wednesday and identified her as Amisty Monrreal.

Monrreal was last seen at around 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Barrett Place in San Antonio.

Law enforcement believes Monrreal is in “grave or immediate danger,” according to an Amber Alert release.

According to police, the girl is suffering from a condition that requires special medical care, local news channel KSAT reported.

Authorities described Monrreal in the release as a white Hispanic female and she was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the number 45 on the front, blue jeans and black/gray colored Jordan tennis shoes.

The missing teen is 5 feet tall and weighs about 90 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Additional information on the abduction was not released.

San Antonio is located 74 miles from Austin and is the second-most populous city in the South.
