President Donald Trump accused Democrats of suffering from the so-called Trump Derangement Syndrome, while hailing the accomplishments of his administration.

The syndrome is known as being so upset about Trump being elected and becoming president that one’s worldview is bent out of shape and the person starts acting erratically. Examples listed by one political analyst includes people’s reactions on election night, which included some people fainting and others threatening to leave the country.

Trump, a Republican, on July 23 said that the opposition party was foolish to try to impeach him.

“Newest Poll: Only 11% in favor of starting ridiculous impeachment hearings. Well, let’s see: We have the Best Economy in History, the Best Employment Numbers in History, Most People Working in History, Highest Stock Market in History, Biggest Tax and Regulation Cuts in History, Best and Newest Military (almost totally rebuilt from the depleted military I took over) in History, Best V.A. in History (Choice), and MUCH, MUCH MORE,” he wrote.

It wasn’t clear which poll Trump was referring to.

The president then wondered what Democrats were thinking in trying to push for impeachment, and blamed the thought process on Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“Gee, let’s impeach the President. The ‘Squad’ (AOC Plus 3) and other Dems suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Crazy!” he wrote.

The so-called “Squad” refers to Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.).

Since Trump suggested on July 14 that the lawmakers leave the country if they don’t like living in it, he and the “Squad” have been in an ongoing feud that quickly eclipsed the feud that the four congresswomen were embroiled in with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who dismissed the freshman lawmakers for spending too much time on Twitter.

Trump lit into the group of four on Monday, writing in a missive: “The ‘Squad’ is a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart. They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the Border…And are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!”

The lawmakers have hit back at Trump, accusing him of racism and pushing for the impeachment of him.

Speaking at a NAACP convention on Monday, Tlaib told the crowd, “I’m not going nowhere [sic], not until I impeach this president.”

Tlaib, just hours after being sworn into office earlier this year, said that, “We’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the [expletive],” a statement that earned ire from some, including Trump.

The House took up a resolution to start impeachment proceedings last week but it was set aside after a 332-95 vote.
