Uber and Lyft went to court Monday over whether their drivers should be classified as employees instead of independent contractors after similar lawsuits in California and New York.
Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell said they are employees and should receive benefits such as a minimum wage, overtime pay, and earned sick time.
