Daryl Hill, 56, was pronounced dead at the hospital after being shot on Tuesday morning.

Police found a man and a woman suffering gunshot wounds on the second floor of an apartment building; they were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Officials identified the victims as Kelly George, 44, and her four children, whom she shared with the suspect, Ronald Williams Sr., 53.

One family member was able to escape the blaze with minor injuries, according to local authorities.

The crash occurred on the 2000 block of Lookout Lane in Grand Junction, Colorado, authorities said.

As of Tuesday morning, the Timber Fire has burned 2,000 acres and is five percent contained.
