CNN has given a notorious white nationalist air time to denounce President Donald Trump. Some think the network is going to any lengths to attack the president.

Richard Spencer spoke on CNN about Trump’s tweets. CNN tried to frame the interview as if Spencer was suddenly turning on Trump.

“Many white nationalists will eat up this red meat that Donald Trump is throwing out there. I am not one of them. I recognize the con game that is going on.”

“He gives us nothing outside of racist tweets. And by racist tweets I mean tweets that are meaningless and cheap and express the kind of sentiments you might hear from your drunk uncle while he’s watching Hannity,” Spencer continued.

CNN received a barrage of criticism for giving airtime to a white nationalist solely to attack the president. The network did not include a discussion on any other matter with Spencer.

“Your team didn’t just QUOTE Spencer. They INTERVIEWED him. On VIDEO. Without asking him hostile questions. Or putting him on blast for his prior actions. It seems like you’re willing to help Spencer recruit acolytes if he’ll say mean things about Trump. Very irresponsible,” wrote Human Events publisher Will Chamberlain in reply to CNN’s Jake Tapper, who tried to justify the interview.

“Why would you host a white nationalist like Richard Spencer and not even be critical of his views? Instead, you used him as an authoritative source for analysis and comment on President Trump. How is CNN a serious news network?” tweeted Ian Miles Cheong, who also works for Human Events.

Some think that Richard Spencer acts as a tool working undercover for those that oppose Trump.

“I’m convinced Spencer is paid by the dems to keep this ‘white supremacy’ nonsense alive. It’s really hard and expensive to find an authentic-looking WS with the right haircut and all,” wrote @oneononehundred.

Spencer’s Twitter feed is full of tweets deriding the president, conservatives, and those with pro-Israel views. Spencer and his white nationalist associates are not fans of Trump or his policies, judging by the posts and comments throughout Spencer’s Twitter feed.

Academic, filmmaker, and writer Dinesh D’Souza earlier exposed the left-wing views of Spencer and other white nationalists. In a video clip for “Death of a Nation,” Spencer shares his political views with D’Souza. His views echo those of socialists, and the American politicians he praises are Democrats.

D’Souza also exposes Spencer and other white nationalists involved in the 2017 ‘Unite the Right’ rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, as having either left-wing or Democratic ties, in an interview with C-SPAN. He comments on another major figure among white nationalists, along with Spencer.

“Jason Kessler, the founder of, and organizer of Charlottesville, turns out to be an Obama activist and an Occupy Wall Street guy,” D’Souza told C-SPAN, “the white supremacists are not conservative. They’re not conservative in the modern American sense of conservative. They’re unrecognizable to a normal conservative.”

A former CNN producer also gave his views on CNN bringing Spencer on.

“Today on its valuable airwaves, CNN gave a platform to white nationalist Richard Spencer. There is literally nothing productive Spencer brings to the conversation. Whoever made this shameful decision should be fired,” tweeted Steve Krakauer.
