Japanese pottery master demonstrates the making of his artwork

Have you ever made pottery? If not, are you interested in making one? It must be wonderful to make a bowl, a pot, a dish, or anything out of clay by ourselves.

You make the clay first and place the ball of clay in the center of a turntable. You press, squeeze, and pull the clay upwards and outwards into a hollow shape while the clay is rotating. Then you shape the potter as it is turning on the wheel. After you have your pottery ware done, you might get it glazed or gone through a firing, which helps the pots last longer.

Now your pottery ware is done. Let’s watch how Yasuo Kumagae, a Japanese pottery master, makes his beautiful pottery works in the video.
