House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Thursday accused President Joe Biden of suppressing special counsel Robert Hur’s interview with him over his handling of classified documents.
Although he released a transcript of the interview between Hur and President Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed releasing the audio could jeopardize future sensitive and high-profile investigations.
Mr. Johnson told reporters during the Thursday press conference that he believes President Biden is afraid to have voters hear what the tapes contain during an election year.
