Melania Trump’s fundraiser for her husband’s re-election campaign has been canceled, according to Politico.

The fundraiser was scheduled for March 18 in Beverly Hills to be hosted by Melania alone but was canceled due to a “scheduling conflict,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told Politico.

The fundraiser would have benefited the joint fundraising account for the Trump 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee.

A three-day “Women for Trump” bus tour scheduled on Monday was also canceled due to scheduling conflicts, Fox News reports.

As of last week, California has declared a state of emergency. There are more than 157 confirmed cases of coronavirus and two deaths reported in California.

Some members of Congress have announced self-quarantine after coming into contact with a person who tested positive for coronavirus at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland. These congressmen include Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar.

Melania is scheduled to host another fundraiser at the president’s Mar-a-Lago club on March 25, but whether it will take place is unclear.

Politico reports that the 2020 Trump campaign and the Republic National Committee raised $463 million in 2019 and had nearly $200 million on hand heading into the election.
