Politics follow the Trump family even as they head to their Christmas holiday.

As the President-elect’s 35-year-old daughter, her husband Jared Kushner, their three children, and other family waited for takeoff in the morning of Dec. 22, a passenger made his way to Ivanka Trump tell her “your father is ruining the country.”

The incident took place as the JetBlue flight waited to take off from JFK in New York.

According to TMZ, the unidentified passenger was surprised that Trump was travelling with a commercial airline: “why is she on our flight, she should be flying private,” he said.

Trump did not respond to the man, but reportedly gave her children crayons to distract them. Secret Service staff assigned to protect the president-elect’s family took no action; the man was removed from the flight by JetBlue staff.

In tweets that are now deleted, a New York professor said that the man was his partner and had spotted Trump and her family during boarding.

“Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5, flying commercial. My husband chasing them down to harass them,” he tweeted.

That was at 10:48 a.m. US Eastern time, TMZ reported. At 11:35 the plane was in the air. JetBlue released a statement saying the man and his partner had been re-accommodated “on the next available flight.”
