Turkey is beginning construction on the world’s longest suspension bridge.

The bridge will be 2.3 miles long.

In October 2016 the construction cost was estimated at around $2.62 billion.

The bridge will take five years to complete.

One of the world’s largest suspension bridges across the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul was just opened in August 2016.

There are plans to build world’s biggest airport in Istanbul and a huge canal that would make a large chunk of the city an island.
