US Cyber Command warned France ahead of Russia hack attack

U.S. National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers, who also heads Cyber Command, told the  Senate Armed Services Committee that the United States had warned France ahead of time that Russia was hacking their elections.

At a hearing on May 9, Rogers said that the United States became aware of Russian activity, and told France what it had seen and offered to help.

Hackers dumped hundreds of pages of hacked and faked documents a day before the French election.

Rogers said his agency was working with Germany to prevent similar attacks during their upcoming election.
