Why America is the Most Generous Country in the World

Donating to charity is a part of American life. According to the World Giving Index, the United States is the most generous country in the world, and has been for the last decade when they launched the study. The index includes three types of giving: helping strangers, volunteer work, and donating money. The last report was based on surveys with 1.3 million people from 128 countries.

What is it that makes Americans particularly generous? Joining us to help answer that question is Francisco Gonzalez. He’s the director of philanthropy for National Review Institute, he also hosts the podcast “Agents of Innovation,” where he interviews entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and artists. He serves on the board of trustees for AMIKids Orlando.
