WWE Star Jimmy Uso was arrested for speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol near Pensacola, Florida, early Thursday morning. It was Uso’s second arrest this year in alcohol-related incidents.

The arrest took place at at 3:04 a.m., TMZ reported.

Uso was in Florida for two WWE events, Raw in Tampa on Monday and WWE Smackdown in Miami on Tuesday.

The entertainment news outlet reported that officers were alerted to Uso when he sped past a patrol car. Law enforcement also noticed he was “swerving left and right.”

When they pulled him over, Uso had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. When the police wanted to subject the wrestler to a DUI test, he refused. It is unclear if his licence has been suspended, as is in accordance with state laws.

Uso, whose real name is Jonathan Fatu, was thereupon arrested on DUI charges and held at the Escambia County Corrections Center in Pensacola. He was also fined with a speeding citation. He was released the same day at 10:15 a.m. on a $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in a Florida court on Aug. 15 at 8:30 a.m., according to prison logs.

WWE released a statement saying, “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

In February, Uso was arrested for getting into a drunken altercation with police officers in Detroit after driving the wrong direction down a one-way street. Later, he would agree to a plea deal and pay a $450 fine, according to Bleacher Report.

He was also arrested for driving under influence in 2011 and 2013, The Big Lead reported.

WWE Wrestler Jeff Hardy Arrested for Public Intoxication

Less then two weeks ago, WWE wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on charges of public intoxication.

Myrtle Beach Online reported that police were called to the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations hotel in response to reports of a man who, at around 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, appeared to be drunk in public.

Police took the man—later identified as 41-year-old Jeffrey Hardy—into custody.

Cpl. Myrtle Beach Online cited Thomas Vest as saying Hardy was arrested without incident. The former WWE champion was then booked into Myrtle Beach jail.

TMZ reported that Hardy was later released on a $200 bond.

Hardy, one half of the WWE’s “The Hardy Boyz” tag team, had also had previous run-ins with the law.

He had been arrested in 2018 in Concord, North Carolina, on a charge of driving while impaired.

CBS Sports reported that Hardy registered a blood alcohol level of .25—well over the legal limit of .08—when he was tested at the Cabarrus County Detention Center. The news outlet cited a police report that said Hardy lost control of his vehicle, which tore up over 100 feet of guardrail before spinning to a halt in the middle of the road.

Police on the scene estimated Hardy did $5,000 worth of damage to the guardrail and $8,000 damage to the 2016 Cadillac he was driving.

Prior to the DUI arrest, Hardy had been arrested in 2009 in his North Carolina home in Cameron, the Charlotte Observer reported, and spent some time in jail for drug possession.
