Falun Gong, or Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual practice. It comprises moral teachings, meditation, and four gentle exercises. Since its inception in 1992, Falun Gong has an estimated 100 million practitioners worldwide.

Unfortunately, on July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began a violent campaign to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China. Millions of innocent people there have been fired from their jobs, expelled from school, jailed, tortured, or killed simply for practicing their faith. For the tens of millions of practitioners living in China today, they live each day at risk of being taken away by Chinese authorities to be jailed, tortured—or worse.

Representatives of Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Washington, D.C., to rally against the persecution that is still happening in China to this day.

Here to talk about what we are seeing today and the implications for both the United States and China is the executive director of the Falun Dafa Information Center, Mr. Levi Browde. We also have the privilege to welcome a Falun Dafa practitioner here at the studio to tell us her personal experience.
