The pilot who crashed his plane into power lines has been rescued, according to multiple reports.

CTV News reported that Thomas Koskovich, a 65-year-old pilot from Shakopee, Minnesota, was flying a single-engine Piper Cub when the aircraft collided with power lines and one of its wheels got tangled with the lines, leaving Koskovich dangling upside down in the aircraft.

“Initial investigation indicated that the plane, a single-engine prop Piper Cub was traveling south, hit a cluster of power lines and became suspended on a guideline, upside down,” a press release issued by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office stated.

The crash happened at the 2500 block of 150th Street West in Louisville Towns, which was located south of the city of Shakopee, Minnesota, according to the press release. The local authorities received a report of the incident at 3:57 p.m. in the afternoon of Nov. 23.

Authorities arrived on the scene to rescue the pilot, who did not receive any injuries from the crash or entanglement. The power lines were de-energized for the rescue to be possible. Koskovich was the only occupant of the aircraft, the press release stated.
